In my current work, I am exploring what my art means to me and what mark I will leave in this world. After a couple of hard years of struggling to find myself in my paintings and what I want to express through paint. I have decided to go back to what got me into art in the first place, sculpture. I first learned to sculpt with clay in my 3rd-grade art class. After that, I became obsessed and never looked back. Art has my passion and the drive that gets me through the day, and want to fight for something better no matter the state of the world.

I have started actively doing ceramics for the first time in years after dedicating my time and schooling to painting. It has brought me back to my roots and revived my passion for creating and for constantly thinking about what’s next and how I can push myself to be better. Crescendo is the piece that reminded me that I have yet to reach my highest point and that the journey to get there will be an exciting one. Something to look forward to.
